S-400 Dispute Highlights Ongoing Difficulties in Turkey’s Rapprochement With Russia

Many experts argue that Turkey is turning its face away from the west.  This is certainly the intention, but  alternatives prove hard to find.  An imagined Sunni Arab-Turkish  alliance  fractured when Turkey sided with Qatar to defend Moslem Brotherhood against the Arab Quartet.  This article illustrates why raprochement  with Russia is not proceeding as per plan.  Let me add that the aggression of Hasdhi Shaabi will end the recent cozying to Iran as a forecast.
