Website Refutes Reports over Health, Extradition of Exiled Turkish Cleric

Exiled Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen is safe and well, the official website of the Gulen movement said late on Tuesday in response to reports that the man accused by Ankara of masterminding a failed 2016 coup is in failing health and about to be extradited from the United States.

Turkish press reports suggest he may be in assisted care and held hostage by a faction.

His death would solve a longstanding dispute between Turkey, US and EU about extradition, as well lead to unraveling of the political wing
